Prosanctus Inferi have really upped their game since their last release. This is black metal that is blood curdling, chilling, and violent.
Favorite track: Host Beasts Rose As Angels Nocturnal.
Raw, twisted and cacophonous black metal that hardly lets up in it's duration. Best described as a ripping, psychotic bludgeoning from start to finish.
Favorite track: Apex Jaws In Madrigal Posture.
I feel so goddamn dirty listening to this, like I was going to dentists office but opened the wrong door to a satanic ritual, but it was too awkward to leave anymore so I just waited until it was over.
Black/death that sounds pure evil. Aggressive and cold while still sounding powerful, Prosanctus Inferi serve up 8 hellish tracks in an old school, but simultaneously refreshing way. I did enjoy it, but don't see this myself listening to this too much in the future. A great effort, nonetheless.
Prosanctus Inferi’s 2nd full length album births forth 8 new beasts of pulsating and nightmarish black death metal. Tremendously violent and heavy with complex yet catchy arrangements, these new phantoms of madrigal evil race foward at break neck pace. Blazing a trail of blood that is both new and fresh, yet a harkening howl to the classic moons of old – ‘Noctambulous Jaws Within Sempiternal Night’ delivers a new puncture to the throats of the host. Featuring stunning artwork by Italian artist Paolo ‘The Madman’ Girardi and layout by Tillman Benninghaus this installment raises the bar of Prosanctus Inferi’s craft in every way.

This album takes me to the darkest places. The whole vibe and overall feel of that album is that of absolute dread, but also beauty. The overall mix of death metal, black metal and some jazz is perfect and the album is unique and fresh. Waiting in anticipation of album 2! chiragrajagopal

Bloody hell this is astounding! I'm very much a fan of Blood Incantation but at the time of buying this was unaware they share practically the same members. Not at all Blood Incantation II this is a much more doomy outing with long, dark passages of music. Very atmospheric and great to listen to as a whole album it demands time and patience for it's majesty to unfold.
Having said that, they go all out death metal at some points which makes for a very interesting piece of work.
Bravo folks! Neil Grace
